Computer
Education
Under the direction of classroom
teachers, all students are developing computer skills. Grades one
through six students are developing computer skills within the four
core subjects (Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social
Studies). A computer room with 30 computers is utilized for
class instruction. A full class Lab, which is connected to a school
network, is set up for student instruction. Internet is also
available to staff and students.
Intramural Sports
During the school year, students in
all grades are invited to participate in noon hour sports activity,
according to the schedules established. As well, Grade five and six
students are encouraged to participate in a series of ski lessons
and recreational skiing sessions at Rabbit Hill and golf lessons in
the spring.
Inter school Athletics
Students have the opportunity to try
out when a school team is to be selected for inter school
tournaments or league activity.
Cultural
Performances
Because of their special educational
and entertainment value, presentations by professional theater and
performing arts groups will be booked for two or three occasions.
Normally the costs for these performances are covered by the parent
sponsored Bingo Fund.
